The Durrës police have arrested a 53-year-old citizen, with the initials AN, in the act, after he tried to bring into our country, 44,000 euros that he had hidden in his van, with the purpose of not declaring in accordance with the law, as well as other goods (medicines , pesticides and beverages).

His capture was made thanks to the coded police operation "Destination". The amount was found in the Vlora-Italy van, which was driven by the 53-year-old.  

The 53-year-old, a resident of Vlora, is charged with the criminal offenses of "Failure to declare cash and valuables at the border", "Smuggling of excise goods" and "Smuggling of licensed goods". 

At the direction of the Prosecutor's Office, investigations continue for the complete legal documentation of this case.

The procedural materials were passed to the Prosecutor's Office at the Court of First Instance of the General Jurisdiction of Durrës, for further actions./ CNA
