The police have arrested the citizen with the initials AJ, 40 years old, as he possessed a rich military arsenal.

Through an official announcement, the Blues declare that a light machine gun was seized from the controls in a cattle stable; an automatic firearm; two semi-automatic rifles; a significant amount of combat ammunition; firearm combs; 1 machine gun necklace with 30 bullets; an offensive hand grenade and removable rifle parts.

It is suspected that the 40-year-old would traffic these weapons in the direction of North Macedonia. The arrested person is a person with a criminal record.

"A 40-year-old man, with a previous criminal record in the field of production and sale of narcotics, who possessed an arsenal of weapons and military ammunition, was arrested.

A light machine gun was seized; an automatic firearm; two semi-automatic rifles; a significant amount of combat ammunition; firearm combs; 1 machine gun necklace with 30 bullets; an offensive hand grenade and removable parts of the rifle, which it is suspected that this citizen would traffic in the direction of North Macedonia.

The Specialists for the Investigation of Crimes of the Pogradec Police Station, under the direction of the Prosecutor's Office at the Court of First Instance of the General Jurisdiction Korçë, following the control of the territory and the work for the prevention, identification and suppression of the illegal activity of carrying weapons without a permit, after several weeks of investigations, they successfully completed the coded operation 'Starova'. As a result of this operation, the citizen was arrested in the act:

- AJ, 40 years old, resident in the village of Starovë, Pogradec, previously convicted for the criminal offense of 'Production and sale of narcotics'", informs the police./ CNA.al
