Abuse of duty and corruption/ Two IKMT officials are arrested

Specialists of the Section for the Investigation of Economic-Financial Crimes, after a 2-year investigation with proactive methods, at the direction of the Prosecutor's Office at the Court of First Instance of the General Jurisdiction Berat, for the crackdown on illegalities committed by persons exercising public functions, have carried out the execution of 2 security measures "Arrest in prison", assigned by the Court of First Instance of Berat General Jurisdiction, to the citizens: 

- EB, 40 years old, resident in Tirana, with the duty of Inspector of Environment and Forests at IKMT Berat, as he is suspected of having consumed elements of the criminal offenses "Abuse of duty" and "Passive corruption of persons performing public functions;

-AD, 50 years old, resident in Tirana, with the duty of Inspector of Environment and Forests at IKMT Berat, as he is suspected of having consumed elements of the criminal offense "Abuse of duty". 

From the actions carried out during the investigation period, it is suspected that these citizens, by actions or inactions, have favored different citizens and subjects to exercise their activities in violation of the law.    

The materials were passed to the Prosecutor's Office at the Court of First Instance of Berat General Jurisdiction, for further actions./ CNA
