Wanted after prison sentence for theft/ 29-year-old arrested in Elbasan

A 29-year-old man was arrested in Elbasan after being charged with theft.

For this criminal offense, citizen E.Gj. was sentenced to 1 year and 8 months in prison for theft.

This citizen was caught on "17 Marsi" street in Elbasan, where he was hiding from the police.

As a result of continuous checks carried out based on information exchanged with the Tirana DVP structures, for a citizen declared wanted who was hiding in Elbasan, the services of the Elbasan DVP Special Operational Force organized the work to locate and capture him.

On "17 Marsi" street, citizen E. Gj., 29 years old, resident of Elbasan, was located, arrested and handcuffed.

This citizen was declared wanted by the Police Commissariat No. 1 in Tirana, after the Court of Appeal of General Jurisdiction in Tirana, with the decision dated 14.10.2025, sentenced him to 1 year and 8 months in prison for the criminal offense of "Theft".
