Over 20 thousand euros in unpaid wages/ Hairdresser's owner arrested

A 41-year-old man has been arrested by the State Police, suspected of not paying the salaries of 5 employees of a hair salon for work performed, in a total amount of around 20,250 euros.

The operation codenamed "Collective" was finalized by specialists from the Economic and Financial Crimes Investigation Sector at the Criminal Police Department of the DPSSh, after the rapid administration of reports from 5 citizens. They claimed that they were exploited by their employers, not being paid for the work performed and being continuously deceived in this regard.

As a result of the investigations, the citizen with the initials BA, 41 years old, was arrested. Meanwhile, the procedural materials were referred to the Prosecutor's Office, where criminal proceedings were initiated against his wife, the citizen with the initials KB, 38 years old, at large.

Also, during the investigative actions, it is suspected that the equipment with which the subject exercised his economic activity was smuggled.

The materials were referred to the Tirana Prosecution Office for further action, for the criminal offenses of "Fraud", "Illegal Employment", "Hiding Income", "Non-payment of Taxes and Duties" and "Smuggling of Other Goods"./ CNA
