Two people accused of attempted murder sentenced to 25 years in prison

At the request of the Fier Prosecution, citizens LH and MM are sentenced to 25 years in prison each for 'Murder in qualifying circumstances' and attempted murder.

At the request of the Prosecutor's Office at the First Instance Court of General Jurisdiction in Fier, citizens LH and MM were found guilty and sentenced to 25 years in prison for the criminal offenses of 'Murder under qualifying circumstances' in a manner dangerous to the lives of many persons, committed in collaboration, remaining in an attempt, provided for by Article 79, letter 'ë', 25 and 22 of the Criminal Code and 'Illegal possession and production of weapons, explosive weapons and ammunition' provided for by Article 278/1 of the Criminal Code.

At the conclusion of the investigation and trial on criminal proceedings no. 150/2023, with the defendants citizens LH and MM, the Prosecutor's Office at the Court of First Instance of General Jurisdiction, Fier managed to prove that the defendant LH, with the intention of avenging the murder of his brother RH, collaborated with the defendant MM, to whom he ordered the physical elimination of citizen MH.

On 30.03.2023, at around 16.00, in the place called “Pisha”, Garunjë village, Lushnje, the defendant MM, after being informed about the license plate of the vehicle in which the citizen RH was traveling, secured the firearm and prepared the place from which he would shoot, and shot eleven times in the direction of this vehicle. As a result of the attack, the citizen BS, a passenger in the front seat of the vehicle, was injured. The citizen MH, the target of the attack, understood the attack and increased speed, enabling the vehicle to leave.
