Shots in the air and escorts to police stations/ What happened in Kavaja?

A 38-year-old man, who had violated the "house arrest" security measure, was escorted to the police station.

Along with the 38-year-old, his brother-in-law and several family members were also escorted. The latter were escorted because, together with citizen AB, they opposed police orders.

During their disobedience, one of the officers fired a gun into the air to make them retreat. The Police Supervision Agency was also notified of the incident.

At around 19:10, the General Patrol of the Golem Police Post, together with the Assistant Specialist of the area who was on duty, during patrolling the territory in Golem, found citizen AB, 38 years old, on the street, who was accompanied by other people, and stopped him for verification, as he was known by the Police to be under the security measure "House Arrest" for the criminal offense "Destruction of Property by Fire".

During the verification, the police officers asked him the reason for violating the security measure and informed him that he would be escorted to the premises of the Kavaja Police Station for further action.

Citizen AB and his brother-in-law, citizen A. Sh., 23 years old, have strongly opposed the services of the Police, assisted by other persons, his family members.

The Police Officer on duty as an Assistant Specialist at the Golem Police Station fired his service weapon, a pistol, once into the air, in order to repel them.

Other police services have come to the aid of the Police officers, who have accompanied the citizens involved in opposing the actions of the Police.

Citizen AB, who had violated the security measure, was also escorted to the police station.

The investigative actions for this case are being carried out by the Judicial Police Officer of the Durrës General Jurisdiction Prosecutor's Office.

Meanwhile, the Police Supervision Agency has also been notified of the case. /CNA
