Elections in Kosovo/ Candidates for MPs with the most votes so far

Just two days after the early parliamentary elections were held, the names of those expected to become deputies in the new legislature of the Assembly have begun to be clarified in Kosovo.

The process of counting votes for candidates is still ongoing by the Central Election Commission, while so far more than a quarter of the votes cast in the boxes have been processed.

Below are the candidates who have secured the greatest support from voters in each of the four main Albanian political parties, according to votes counted up to this stage of the process.

Self-Determination Movement

Albin Kurti: 42,696 votes
Glauk Konjufca: 33,508 votes
Albulena Haxhiu: 19,181 votes
Hekuran Murati: 16,651 votes
Donika Gërvalla-Schwarz: 15,476 votes

Democratic Party of Kosovo

Bedri Hamza: 20,762 votes
Përparim Gruda: 13,249 votes
Arian Tahiri: 11,607 votes
Uran Ismaili: 10,142 votes
Sala Jashari: 7,421 votes

Democratic League of Kosovo:

Vjosa Osmani Sadriu: 13,682 votes
Lumir Abdixhiku: 12,371 votes
Doarsa Kica Xhelili: 9,903 votes
Hykmete Bajrami: 7,571 votes
Avdullah Hoti: 6,891 votes

Alliance for the Future of Kosovo

Ardian Gjini: 7,665 votes
Ramush Haradinaj: 7,030 votes
Daut Haradinaj: 5,387 votes
Besnik Tahiri: 4,595 votes
Bekë Berisha: 3,586 votes

According to preliminary CEC results, the Vetevendosje Movement (LVV) of the incumbent Prime Minister, Albin Kurti, came first in the June 7 elections with 42.91 percent of the vote.

Following it are the Democratic Party of Kosovo (PDK) with 21.08 percent, the Democratic League of Kosovo (LDK) with 17.60 percent, the Alliance for the Future of Kosovo (AAK) with 7.17 percent and the Serbian List with 6.17 percent.

According to preliminary data, LVV will have 48 seats in the Assembly, followed by PDK with 24, LDK with 20, and AAK with 8. /REL
