Zelensky: Ukraine needs "weapons, not promises"

"Forces at the front are fighting with shells and equipment, not with words like 'tomorrow' or 'soon,'" the Ukrainian president said in a video message.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky made a fresh call for an immediate deployment of military aid this evening, stressing that Kiev needs immediate weapons, not promises.

“On-time delivery is key now. Several packages (including military aid) have been announced and approved, but have not yet been delivered to Ukraine. "Forces at the front are fighting with shells and equipment, not with words like 'tomorrow' or 'soon,'" the Ukrainian president said in a video message.

Referring to Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi's visit to Kiev, Zelensky said it was important that "India continues to uphold international law, uphold our national sovereignty and territorial integrity"./ CNA
