A 22-year-old man, internationally wanted for attempted murder, has been arrested in Shëngjin. The citizen OP has been placed in handcuffs.

He was declared internationally wanted by Interpol Madrid, after a court in Spain, on 18.05.2026, issued an arrest warrant for him, for the criminal offense of "Murder", which remained in the attempted stage. 

His extradition to Spain is awaited.

Operations by the Special Operations Force Directorate continue to capture internationally wanted citizens.

The codenamed "Fast" operation is finalized.

The 22-year-old is accused in Spain of attempted murder, captured in Shëngjin and arrested for extradition purposes. 

The services of the Special Operations Force Directorate, in continuation of the work to locate and capture wanted citizens, have provided information that an internationally wanted citizen was hiding in Lezha.  

Based on information exchanged in real time with Spanish partners, through the ENFAST network, the codenamed "Fast" operation was organized and finalized, as a result of which the citizen was captured in Shëngjin and arrested with the aim of extradition to Spain: 

-OP, 22 years old, born in Lezha.

This citizen was declared internationally wanted by Interpol Madrid, after the Juzgado Instrucion 2 Court of Ibiza, Spain, on 18.05.2026, issued an arrest warrant for him, for the criminal offense of "Murder", remaining in the attempted stage. 

The extradition procedures for citizen OP to Spain continue. /CNA
