A robbery like in the movies took place today in Brindisi, as several people blocked the road and blew up a van.

The perpetrators of the attack, as seen in the published footage, blocked the road by parking cars diagonally and then blew up the van.

From the videos recorded by motorists in circulation, at least six people appear to be operating with their faces covered, some dressed in white and armed.

The robbery, according to information, was not carried out. In order to escape, the perpetrators are suspected of having robbed the vehicles of several drivers who were passing by. The gang operated by using cars with flashing lights, to camouflage them as civilian vehicles in police service.

The Carabinieri of the Lecce provincial command have made two arrests for the attack on an armored vehicle transporting valuables, which occurred this morning on the highway between Lecce and Brindisi, near Tuturano.
