The Government of Kosovo has issued a reaction regarding the Constitutional Court's decision to impose a temporary measure against the decree of President Vjosa Osmani.

The response states that it creates space for the issue to be fully addressed by the Constitutional Court, in accordance with the constitutional order and the principles of the democratic functioning of institutions. It further states that the government expects the Constitutional Court's decision to provide complete clarity on the issue.

The decision of the Constitutional Court to impose a temporary measure regarding the Decree on the Dissolution of the Assembly suspends the implementation of this decree until the merits of the case are reviewed.

This decision creates the space for the issue to be fully addressed by the Constitutional Court, in accordance with the constitutional order and the principles of the democratic functioning of institutions.

For three weeks we have been in a state of waiting while a series of agreements and decisions of importance to citizens continue to remain without the approval of the Assembly.

The government expects the final decision of the Constitutional Court to provide complete clarity on this issue and to set the constitutional standard so that institutions and citizens do not face these serious obstacles in the future. / CNA
