Iranian attack injures 32 in Bahrain

Bahrain announced today that an Iranian drone attack on the island of Sitra injured 32 people overnight, as Gulf countries reported fresh attacks with Tehran continuing its retaliatory attacks across the region.

All of the injured were Bahraini nationals and there were four serious cases, including children, the health ministry said in a statement carried by the state news agency.

The injured included a 17-year-old girl, who suffered serious head and eye injuries, and a two-month-old baby.

Several explosions were also heard on Monday in the Qatari capital, Doha, journalists said, while Qatar, Saudi Arabia and Kuwait reported new attacks.

Doha has been targeted by waves of Iranian drones and missiles since Iran launched a wide-ranging campaign of retaliation across the Gulf following US and Israeli attacks on the Islamic Republic. /CNA
