Trump: The war is coming to an end, Iran has nothing left

The President of the United States of America, Donald Trump, has declared that the war in Iran is coming to an end. He stated that before the offensive in the United States was launched, Iran would have launched attacks within a week.

"Within a week they would attack us 100%. They were ready. They had all these missiles far more than anyone thought, and they would attack us, but they would attack the whole Middle East and Israel. And if they had a nuclear weapon, they would have used it on Israel. And that would have been a big attack. I know they had all those missile sites and all those launchers that we got rid of, about 80% of them now ," Trump said.

In an interview with the American media CBS, Trump said that Iran has neither a navy nor an air force left. Among other things, he said that the work of the American military was excellent.

"I think the war is almost over. They have no navy, they have no communications, they have no air force. Their missiles are scattered in an uncontrolled manner. Their drones are being blown up everywhere, including their manufacturing. If you look, they have nothing left. Nothing left in a military sense. A lot of work, a lot of great work. But we will have a much safer world once it is over, and it will be over very quickly ," Trump said.

Among other things, the president said that the Strait of Hormuz - one of the world's most critical energy shipping lanes, which carries approximately a fifth of global oil shipments - is open, but the White House is still "thinking about getting it under control."

We recall that oil prices have increased significantly since the start of the war with Iran and are fluctuating around $100 per barrel. /CNA
