"Lower your voice and sign the agreement" / US issues ultimatum to

President Donald Trump gave Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky an ultimatum regarding signing the agreement to end the war.

He added that the US is doing a lot of work with Russia and that the US will do something between the two countries, adding that a deal could be reached with Moscow to "stop the killing of millions more people from this war."

The president also said that US Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent, who presented the deal to Ukraine during a visit to Kiev, was treated "pretty rudely" because Zelensky was unavailable to see him and that he "went there to sign a document and when he got there, he came back empty-handed. They didn't sign the document."

White House National Security Advisor Mike Waltz said on Fox News on Thursday that Zelensky should 'toughen it up and look carefully and sign that deal.'

He was referring to a critical minerals deal for providing aid to Ukraine during its war with Russia.

Waltz said the US presented Ukrainians with an 'incredible and historic opportunity' to invest in its economy and natural resources. /CNA
