Trump clearly states: "The war in Ukraine is much more important to Europe than to the US"

US President Donald Trump, in a post on 'Social Truth', has stated that the war in Ukraine is much more important for Europe than for the US.

Trump added that Europe "has failed to bring peace" to the region.

 "The United States has spent $200 billion more than Europe, and Europe's money is guaranteed, while the United States will get nothing in return."

"Why didn't sleepy Joe Biden call for a draw, since this war is much more important to Europe than to us," Trump said.

Trump also called Ukrainian leader Volodymyr Zelensky a "dictator" earlier today, expanding on his personal public statements with major implications for efforts to end the conflict sparked by Russia's invasion three years ago.

The United States had provided funds and weapons to Ukraine, but in a change of policy since coming to power, Trump has opened talks with Moscow.

"A dictator without an election, Zelensky better move fast or he won't have any place left," Trump wrote on his "Social Truth" platform. /CNA
