106 Albanians were killed/The 26th anniversary of the Rahovec Massacre is

Today marks the 26th anniversary of the Pastasel Massacre in Rahovec/Orahovac, Kosovo, where 106 Albanians from this village and surrounding villages were killed and massacred.

On the afternoon of March 31, 1999, Serbian military, paramilitary and police forces surrounded this village of about 100 houses in the municipality of Rahovec, which in the previous weeks had doubled its population as many people displaced from other villages by the war had come to take refuge there.

After throwing grenades for an hour, Serbian forces gathered the local residents in the field and separated the men from the women.

This massacre is one of the most horrific committed by Serbian forces during the war in Kosovo.

To this day, there are still family members from this massacre who are demanding the return of the bodies of their loved ones, who, even after 26 years, have not been found.
