Poll/ Albin Kurti's LVV sure of victory, PDK and LDK in decline

The "Alternativa" Research Center has published the latest poll for the 2025 elections, a poll which puts the Vetëvendosje Movement in first place with 52.7 percent, followed by PDK in second place, and the third party from this poll appears to be LDK.

According to the Center for Social Economic Political Research "ALTERNATIVA", an observatory for public opinion measurements, completed this weekend, the Self-Determination Movement (LVV) comes out on top in the question addressed to citizens for the "2025 Parliamentary Elections", which conducted the survey on political parties in Kosovo with a single question, addressed to respondents, that; Which political entity in Kosovo would you trust, after two weeks of campaigning on Sunday, February 9, 2025? The answer has resulted in a quantitative decline of the political entities PDK and LDK, and also AAK, compared to the results of the 2021 parliamentary elections.

The ruling party VV has maintained a slight lead in the response value of VV - 52.7%, while the numerical values ??for the opposition parties are: PDK - 16.8%, LDK - 14.2%, AAK - Initiative, Intellectuals and Conservatives - 7.6% and List for the Family - 3.5%, while these subjects show a lower result now than in the previous elections, which were PDK - 19%, LDK - 15% and AAK 8%.

The survey was conducted with respondents of different profiles and age groups, who responded with participation in the age group of respondents in (5) five age categories, starting from 18-25, 26-35, 36-45, 46-55, 56-65 years.

The survey results show a different representation of support for parties depending on age groups, regions and municipalities. LVV, which achieved a strong support of 52.7%, received strong support in the most urbanized regions and in the largest municipalities, where citizens are more politically engaged.

PDK, with 16.8% support, remains strong in certain regions, including those with a strong presence among older voters, who have a deep historical connection to the party. LDK, which has reached 14.2% support, has suffered a significant decline, especially in municipalities where it was previously strong, reflecting a loss of trust from a part of the electorate.

AAK, together with the Nisma, Intellectuals and Conservatives parties, has reached 7.6%, focusing mainly on small and rural municipalities, where its policies have resonated more with local needs.

The List for the Family, with 3.5%, has had notable support in some areas where social and family issues are a priority, while other parties, accounting for 5.2% of support, have achieved widespread support in some specific regions and smaller minority municipalities.

Overall, this result shows that support for parties is divided not only by ideology, but also by territory and demographic groups, with each region and municipality having its own influence on the overall results of the national vote.

Results according to tabular percentages of numerical escalation in the survey:

VV – 52.7%

PDK – 16.8%

LDK – 14.2%

AAK – Initiative, Intellectuals and Conservatives – 7.6%

Family List – 3.5%

Others 5.2%
