London Summit/ Meloni convinced: Italy and England are a bridge of communication between Zelensky and Trump

Ahead of the UK-led European peace summit in London, Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni warned that any division of the West would make all European countries weaker.

Among other things, Meloni, who enjoys a close relationship with Donald Trump, said that Italy and the United Kingdom could help Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky re-establish a positive relationship with Trump after their debates in the "Oval Office." Meloni expressed confidence that her rapport with Trump could help in this regard.

She thanked British Prime Minister Keir Starmer for convening European leaders for crisis talks on Ukraine, saying the United Kingdom and Italy are very much coordinated in their aim to achieve a lasting peace in Ukraine. /CNA
