"Zelensky does not want peace"/ Secretary Rubio: He turned the meeting into a waste

US Secretary of State Marco Rubio stressed that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky does not actually seek peace and an end to the war with Russia.

"President Zelensky should apologize for turning the meeting with Trump into a waste. There was no need for him to become the protagonist in such a way. President Trump has been negotiating and reaching agreements throughout his life."

"Zelensky will achieve nothing with aggressive behavior. By behaving in this way, it suggests that maybe Zelensky does not want peace. He says he wants to make peace, but maybe that is not what he really wants," Rubio said.

These statements by Rubio come after the debate between Zelensky and President Donald Trump in the last meeting, where the US president made it clear to Zelensky that he should withdraw from the war with Russia. /CNA
