Trial in The Hague/ Former KLA superior testifies: I went to Kosovo to fight

The trial continues in The Hague, where former KLA superior Naim Maloku is giving his testimony.

When asked about his acquaintance with Hashim Thaçi, he stated that he had only carried out his job, which consisted of inspecting, advising and training KLA soldiers.

He adds that there was no overlap between his activities and those of former President Hashim Thaçi. 

"I have done my job, inspecting, advising soldiers, training. Volunteers have come to the KLA and others have left. That has been my job.

I went to Dukagjin at the end of January 1999. I had no meeting point between his activities and mine.

This is the first time I've seen someone report or give an assessment of my fieldwork to someone else. I don't know. This is the first time I've seen this document here.

"I did not bring Major Dibra. I explained how I met him. I had the honor of being with him. I went to fight in Kosovo, so whoever made reports about me is not of any use to me today," Maloku testified./ CNA
