Trump holds cabinet meeting/discusses plans with Elon Musk

US President Donald Trump held a meeting of his cabinet at the White House.

President Trump briefed the press on a key meeting in which top government officials discussed future plans for the Elon Musk-led Department of Government Efficiency.

Also present at the cabinet meeting was tech billionaire Elon Musk, who came to the meeting wearing a large hat with the phrase "Trump was right about everything."

The previous meeting, held earlier this month, delved into Musk's efforts to reduce the size of government under the administration's Department of Government Efficiency initiative.

President Donald Trump said he expected efforts to reduce the size of the federal government workforce would reduce it to an appropriate level in the next two to three months, as he met with billionaire adviser Elon Musk and other Cabinet officials.

"We're getting to a point where we think that maybe over the next two or three months, we're going to be quite happy with the people who are working hard and want to be members of our administration and our country," Trump said./CNA
