The Kosovo police announced that they confiscated a quantity of weapons during an operation in the north of the country.

According to the police, two locations have been checked that are connected to two people who they said are "former members of the Civil Defense and members of the Banjska terrorist group".

According to the Police, it is a matter of a location in the north of Mitrovica, near the "Tre Rrokaqiejt" neighborhood, and is related to the wanted person, Marjan Radojevi?.

Meanwhile, the other location, according to the police, is on the street "Qeta e Minatorëve" in the north of Mitrovica and has to do with the wanted person, Zharko Cvetkovic.

The operative activities, the police said, were carried out in cooperation with the Kosovo Agency for Intelligence and citizens.

"We have received information about these locations and these weapons," said in a press conference on Friday, the deputy director of the Kosovo Police for the North Region, Veton Elshani, who also announced that there are no arrests.

The police announced that during the operation they confiscated, among other things, 30 pieces of suspected explosives, long guns, cartridges, pistols, boxes with suspicious substances, bulletproof vests and uniforms.

On September 24 last year, an armed group of Serbs attacked the Kosovo Police in Banjska, killing Sergeant Afrim Bunjaku.

Three attackers were also killed in the exchange of fire.

Kosovo considers Serbia responsible for organizing and carrying out the attack, but Belgrade denies everything.

Shortly after the attack, responsibility was taken by Millan Radoicic, the former vice-president of Lista Serbe, the largest party of Kosovo Serbs that enjoys the support of official Belgrade.

He had publicly accepted the organization of the attack, however he continues to be free after he left Kosovo after the attack.

Since the September 24 attack in Banjské in Zveçan, the Kosovo authorities have several times presented confiscated weaponry in the northern part./ Rel
