Ukraine and Russia exchanged drone strikes during the night and morning of June 14, a day after the Group of Seven (G7) most industrialized nations agreed to give Kiev a $50 billion loan using frozen Russian assets.

The Armed Forces of Ukraine (FAU) said their anti-aircraft defenses shot down all 17 Shahed-type drones, with which Russia attacked seven Ukrainian regions.

Later, US President Joe Biden and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky signed a 10-year security agreement, which they hailed as a milestone in relations between their countries.

Biden said that the goal is "to strengthen the defense and deterrence capacities of Ukraine."

He pointed out that the United States has received commitments from five countries, which he did not name, to provide Ukraine with Patriot anti-aircraft missiles and other air defense systems.
