A fierce, tense debate, which degenerated into a physical clash, was recorded on Wednesday in the Italian parliament, for the law on extended autonomy.

Everything happened after the deputy of the "Five Star" Movement, Leonardo Dono, took out the national flag of Italy and tried to give it to Minister Calderoli. Immediately, the majority MPs surrounded him and hit him. According to the media of the neighboring country, Dono was hit by Lega Nord MP Igor Ieci.

The discussion between the majority and the opposition was heated a few minutes before the action of Donno, who was among the protagonists of the heated debate and who was excluded from the parliamentary work.

After what happened, President Fontana called an immediate meeting of the group leaders while the videos were taken to ascertain the full facts and take further action.

Minister Calderoli himself has stated on this occasion that they will not follow the provocations of the opposition, while it is known that there were several deputies who received health treatments.

Lega Nord's initiative for the law on extended autonomy has been opposed in the bloc from the left, as according to them it creates a marked division of Italy./ CNA
