Constitutional Court's warning/ Kurti reacts, calls party leaders to a meeting

Prime Minister Albin Kurti has reacted to the statement of the Constitutional Court, which emphasized that the Kosovo Assembly must be constituted within 30 days.

Kurti underlines that this is an obligation of all MPs and not just the first subject.

The Prime Minister of Kosovo has announced that today he addressed all the heads of the entities represented in the ninth legislature, with an invitation for a joint meeting on Saturday (tomorrow) at 4:00 PM, in another effort to reach consensus for the constitution of the Assembly.

"Yesterday's ruling of the Constitutional Court clearly emphasizes that the obligation to constitute the Assembly is an obligation of all deputies and not only of the first subject."

"As the chairman of the VETËVENDOSJE Movement and on behalf of the largest parliamentary group emerging from the February 9, 2025 elections, today I have addressed all the heads of the entities represented in the ninth legislature, with an invitation to a joint meeting on Saturday (tomorrow) at 4:00 PM, in another effort to reach consensus for the constitution of the Assembly," Kurti writes./ CNA
