In 2024, average gross salaries in Kosovo were 639 euros, while in 2023 they were 570 euros.
So, there was an increase of 69 euros from the previous year. Whereas, the net salary in 2024 was 552 euros, compared to 2023 which was 506 euros. So, an increase of 46 euros.
The Kosovo Agency of Statistics has published the annual report "Wage Level in Kosovo" for 2024, providing a detailed overview of average gross and net wages in the main sectors of the local economy: public, private and public enterprises.
According to official data, the average gross salary in Kosovo in 2024 was 639 euros, compared to 570 euros in 2023 – an increase of 69 euros.
Meanwhile, the average net salary reached 552 euros, up from 506 euros a year earlier, marking an increase of 46 euros.
Private sector with significant growth
In the private sector, wage growth has been significantly higher:
The average gross salary in 2024 was 598 euros, up from 515 euros in 2023 – an increase of 83 euros.
The net salary increased to 513 euros, from 459 euros in the previous year – an increase of 54 euros.
Public sector and public enterprises
In the public sector (administration), growth was observed compared to 2020:
The average gross salary in 2024 was 755 euros, up from 624 euros in 2020 – an increase of 131 euros, or 21%.
The net salary increased from 552 euros in 2020 to 668 euros in 2024 – also an increase of 116 euros, or 21%.
While in public enterprises, the growth was more moderate:
The average gross salary in 2024 reached 783 euros, up from 769 euros in 2020 – an increase of only 14 euros (1.8%).
The net salary in this sector increased by 5 euros, from 680 to 685 euros (0.7%).
Comparison by sectors
According to ASK, the public enterprise sector continues to have the highest salaries, while the private sector remains with the lowest salaries.

Electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply:
Gross salary: 1,105 euros
Net salary: 970 euros
Information and communication:
Gross salary: 1,090 euros
Net salary: 935 euros
