One year after the attack in Banjska / Kurti and Osmani commemorate Afrim Bunjak

Today marks one year since the Serbian terrorist attack in Banjska of Zveçan, where the sergeant of the Kosovo Police, Afrim Bunjaku, was killed.

Many political personalities in Kosovo have recalled the hero Afrim Bunjaku, on the anniversary of his fall.

Prime Minister Albin Kurti went to visit Bunjak's family in the village of Samadrexhe in Vushtrri, where tributes will be paid and the inauguration of the memorial plaque for the deceased.

Meanwhile, the President of Kosovo, Vjosa Osmani, has posted an article about Afrim Bunjak, where she says that he was a martyr, to show once again, as we have witnessed over the centuries, that this land is our eternal homeland.

"One year today, Sergeant Afrim Bunjaku was martyred, to show once again, as we have witnessed over the centuries, that this land is our eternal homeland". That freedom has no price. That Kosovo is and will remain indivisible, our freedom and borders inviolable! Today and forever", Osmani writes.

Yesterday, at the meeting of the government of Kosovo, they decided to name the road Ballaban-Banjskë "Afrim Bunjaku", the name of the hero of the Republic of Kosovo.

In relation to this event, the German embassy in Pristina has also reacted, which says that justice must be done for Bunjak's murder.

"His sacrifice will not be forgotten, but the fact remains: Milan Rado?i?, the suspected author of this crime, despite having accepted responsibility, is still free in Serbia. The failure to hold those responsible, despite clear admissions of guilt, undermines peace in the region and sends a dangerous message. Justice must be done. There are no more postponements and excuses," the German embassy wrote on social networks. /CNA
