Massive brawl in Greece/ Two deputy mayors are injured

A massive brawl took place at midnight in Grigoriou Lambrakis Square, in Korydallos, Greece, involving ten people, three of whom were injured, including a minor.

Among the wounded is the deputy mayor of Korydallos Municipality, Charalambos Tsirakdis, who was attacked during the fierce fight as he approached the scene to stop the fight.

"I have no idea how and why the fight started. I was sitting on the opposite side and went to see what was going on. We were together with other people from the municipality and we saw that something was happening and went to separate them. As soon as they saw us approaching, they started throwing tables and chairs at me and the other vice president. I don't even remember how many people there were", Mr. Tsirakis, hospitalized with injuries to his left arm and back, tells protothema.gr.

The second vice-president of Koridallos, who suffered a head injury, was also transferred to Attica Hospital./ CNA
