With the slogan "Renewal"/ The National Assembly of the Democratic Party of Albania convenes today

The Democratic Party will convene its National Assembly today.

Following the referendum to reconfirm Sali Berisha as leader of the Democratic Party, the National Assembly votes today on the proposals of the presidency and the election of 200 members of the National Council.

This Council will elect the DP leadership, the General Secretary, the vice-chairmen and all other officials next week.

The slogan of the Assembly is "Renewal", and it is announced that the proceedings will begin at 10:00.

Meanwhile, proposals for statutory amendments will be presented to the Assembly, which will be discussed and then subject to a vote by delegates.

Among other things, the DP is expected to determine the political and organizational directions that this political force will follow in the coming period. /CNA
