Another scandal has erupted in Albania where the Ministry of Health has ordered the treatment of transgender people with hormonal therapy.

The hormonal therapy that will be offered for the first time at the QSUT for transgender people, according to the order of the Ministry of Health of April 28, will include consultations with doctors and the appointment of an appropriate course of treatment according to the age and condition of transgender people, so that there are as few side effects as possible.

According to what Syri.net writes, hormonal therapy will be available in the pharmaceutical network, while later, the possibility will be considered for hormones, part of these treatments, to be included in the reimbursable list.

According to reports, therapy can begin at the age of 16, while in special cases it can also be considered from the age of 14. This is provided that it is evaluated by doctors and has the approval of the family.
