The SEC has announced the initial unofficial results of the second round of local elections.

The second round of elections in North Macedonia was held yesterday.

The Chairman of the SEC, Boris Kondarko, informed that out of 98.25% of polling stations processed in the second round, a total of 415,435 voters or 41.76 percent voted at the national level.

In the second round, 93,207 voters voted for the VMRO-DPMNE and Coalition candidate, Orce Gjorgievski, while 58,994 voters or 36.26 percent of the total votes voted for the Left candidate, Amar Mecinovic.

The turnout in the second round for the mayor of the City of Skopje was 35.05%.

VMRO-DPMNE and Coalition candidates lead in 22 municipalities, VALEN Coalition candidates in four municipalities, SDSM and Coalition candidates in three municipalities, and ZNAM Movement and Roma Union candidates in one municipality each./ CNA.
