Hamas hands over fake corpses to Israel

The remains of three dead people recently handed over by the Islamist group Hamas do not belong to the missing hostages, the Israeli army announced, citing analyses and investigations by the Institute of Forensic Medicine. The remains were handed over by Hamas on Friday evening to representatives of the International Committee of the Red Cross in the Gaza Strip, who then forwarded them to the Israeli army.

Israel accuses Hamas of lies
A day earlier, on Thursday, October 30, Hamas handed over two lifeless bodies, which actually belonged to Israelis Amiram Cooper and Sahar Baruch. The Islamist group Hamas has so far handed over the bodies of 17 of the 28 dead hostages. Contrary to what was agreed in US President Donald Trump's peace plan for Gaza, the terrorist organization is releasing the bodies slowly. It justifies this by claiming that it is difficult to find the dead because they are buried under the rubble of bombed buildings and tunnels. Israel calls this a lie by Hamas.

Hamas admits its mistake
This is not the first case of its kind. Hamas has previously handed over the bodies of Palestinians in place of the remains of people taken hostage. In mid-October, Hamas handed over the body of a Palestinian in place of the body of a hostage.

In February, Hamas also handed over the body of a Palestinian woman instead of the body of hostage Shiri Bibas. Bibas was also a German citizen. The terrorist organization later admitted to a possible mistake and eventually handed over the correct body./ DW
