New York Mayor Criticizes US Operation to Arrest Maduro

New York Mayor Zohran Mamdani has reacted sharply to the US operation in Caracas, where Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro and his wife were arrested, who are expected to be transferred to New York to face criminal charges.

In a public statement, Mamdani called the operation a grave violation of international and federal law. “A unilateral attack on a sovereign nation is an act of war,” he wrote, stressing that such actions set a dangerous precedent.
