Iran warns of attacks in Dubai and Doha/ Calls for evacuation

Iran's Media Operations Center has warned residents in specific areas of Dubai and the Qatari capital, Doha, of possible attacks in the coming hours and has called for evacuations.

This comes after Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi said Tehran has sufficient evidence that US bases in the Middle East were used to attack Iran, claiming that the missiles were launched from the United Arab Emirates to attack the oil hub on Kharg Island.

Earlier in the day, Iran called on people to evacuate the Middle East's busiest port and two others in the United Arab Emirates, openly threatening non-US assets of a neighboring country for the first time as its war with the United States and Israel entered its third week.

Tehran said the US had used "ports, docks and shelters" in the United Arab Emirates to launch attacks on Kharg Island, home to Iran's main oil export terminal, without providing evidence. It called on people to leave areas where it said US forces were sheltering. /CNA
