A large fire broke out shortly after 16:00 noon on Sunday in a forest area in Stamata Attica. 32 fire engines with 7 vehicles, 1 group of pedestrians, 6 planes and three helicopters are operating at the scene.

At the same time, three messages were sent from the emergency number 112 for the residents of Amygdaleza to evacuate via Stamatas Avenue in the direction of the square and the residents of Galini and Rodopoli to evacuate via Stamatas Avenue in the direction of Drosi.

Winds are blowing towards the north causing the flames to move towards the settlement. In fact, a little later a second hearth appeared that is not related to the first one and burns further to the east, very close to the settlement.

Another fire is continuing in Lamia in an agroforestry area in the Kamilovrisi region. The mobilization of the Fire Service was immediate and 28 fire engines with a group of EMODE pedestrians 4, 8 vehicles were mobilized at the scene, while 1 E/P AND 5 A/F. Meanwhile, in the area of ??Agios Petros in Andros, the flames have burned the vegetation. The mobilization of the fire service forces made it possible to bring the fire under control after 15:00.

The Civil Defense has sent forces to evacuate five areas, specifically the areas of Markati, Agios Georgios Thorikou, Panorama, Palaiokamariza and Plaka./CNA
