Famous footballer Cristiano Ronaldo called US President Donald Trump today. The president himself announced this through a post on Truth Social, where he said that the footballer had thanked him for the visit to the White House and the Oval Office.

Trump's post:

Cristiano Ronaldo, the GREAT soccer player (footballer!), just called me to thank me for his visit to the White House and the Oval Office. What an incredible guy he is, not only as an athlete, but also as a person. It doesn't get any better than that!!! 

Recall that last month, Cristiano Ronaldo was in Washington and was received by the President of the United States, in the Oval Office. The Portuguese star was part of the Saudi delegation that visited the American capital.

During the visit, Ronaldo and Georgina Rodriguez were personally escorted by Trump through the White House grounds, visiting corridors decorated with portraits of historical figures and paintings in gold frames. The tour ended in the Oval Office, where the US president warmly welcomed them and took photos with them. /CNA
