Russian bombing in Ukraine/ Zelensky: Missiles were made in North Korea

Moscow has escalated its bombing of Ukraine, and Kiev has responded with attacks deep inside Russian territory.

Talks in Turkey last week failed to yield progress towards ending the three-year war.

Apart from an agreement on a prisoner exchange, progress has stalled and Russia has repeatedly rejected calls for an unconditional ceasefire.

After overnight attacks with more than 300 drones and seven missiles, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky urged Kiev's Western allies to respond with "concrete actions."

"Action by America, which has the power to force Russia to enter into peace. Action by Europe, which has no other alternative but to be strong," Zelensky wrote in a post on social media.

Zelensky added that two of the missiles fired in the latest attacks were made in North Korea. /CNA
