European Union member states will discuss possible options to help keep the Strait of Hormuz open.
EU foreign policy chief Kaja Kallas told reporters ahead of an EU foreign affairs meeting in Brussels that it is in their interest to keep the Strait of Hormuz open.
"It is in our interest to keep the Strait of Hormuz open and for this reason we are also discussing what we can do in this regard from the European side," said Kaja Kallas.
Earlier, US President Donald Trump said he was asking seven countries to step up their efforts to help reopen the vital waterway and warned NATO it would have a very bad future without its support. /CNA
