Today, March 13, 2025, marks the 12th anniversary of Pope Francis' election as Pope on March 13, 2013. In this regard, the Press Office said that the Holy Father has received hundreds of letters from schools, associations, religious institutes, young people and children. The letters for his anniversary and for his recovery had arrived at the Vatican and were brought to Pope Francis in the hospital.

The latest update on his condition noted that the Pope continues to undergo high-dose oxygen therapy during the day and non-invasive mechanical ventilation at night.

On Wednesday morning, after attending spiritual exercises in a connection with the Paul VI hall in the Vatican, he received the Eucharist, spent time praying and then continued physical therapy.

In the afternoon, after continuing to attend the Spiritual Exercises, he continued to pray, rest, and perform more physical therapy.

The Holy Father has been hospitalized at the Gemelli Hospital in Rome since February 14, when he was admitted for a bout of bronchitis.

His prognosis is no longer guarded, but doctors say he requires more time in the hospital. /CNA
