Veliaj continues the extortion of citizens/ Increases local fees, kindergartens

The mayor of Tirana, Erion Veliaj, is following the robbery of the capital's residents.

On March 28, the same day when the thieving directors of Veliaj were arrested, the municipal council increased the prices for some public services.

CNA has secured the decision, which reveals that the citizens of Tirana will have to pay more for services in kindergartens, nurseries, or even for the facilities in the Artificial Lake Park.

Children attending kindergartens in Tirana had a daily fee of 160 ALL, while now parents have to pay 170 ALL. So, the daily fee for kindergartens has increased by 10 ALL.

While the nursery service has increased by 20 ALL . Previously, parents had to pay 130 ALL to take their child to daycare, while now they have to pay 150 ALL.

Also, the Municipality of Tirana has set high fees for sports fields in the Great Artificial Lake Park.

For the "Perlat Vushtina" tennis court, the fee is 1,000 lek per hour.

For the volleyball court, 1,400 ALL per hour must be paid per individual or group of individuals, while for commercial entities, clubs or associations, 2,000 ALL must be paid.

The decision to increase fees

For the basketball court, the fee per individual or group of individuals is 1,300 ALL per hour, for commercial entities, clubs or associations 2,000 ALL per hour.

For the football field with natural grass, the fee per individual or group of individuals is 2,000 ALL for 90 minutes, while for commercial entities, clubs or associations it is 2,500 ALL.

The decision to increase fees

The fee for using the Football Sports Field in Laprakë is 5,000 ALL for 90 minutes for an individual or group of individuals and 6,000 ALL for 90 minutes for commercial entities, clubs or associations.

Also, the Municipality has changed prices for visits to the Zoo.

In the 2019 decision of the municipal council, the entrance fee to the Zoo was 50 Lek for children and 100 Lek for adults. This price increased after the restoration, but when only a year has passed since its opening, the price has changed again.
