The deputy director of "Rai 3", Sigfrido Ranucci, has responded to Prime Minister Edi Rama for the criticism of Italian television, which produced a report about Albania.

In an interview with Armela Ferko, Ranucci said that their documentary is not an attack on the Albanian people.

"I must say this clearly, it is not an attack on the Albanian people, who in my opinion are very close to us. We absolutely must not generalize. It's a very critical broadcast, but we don't want to generalize. We have talked about issues with nouns and adjectives. When there is criminal liability, there are names and surnames. It is not an attack on the Albanian people, on Albania.

The fact that Rama and Albania were used to attack Meloni is not true at all. As you have not seen, neither from the side of the Italian government, nor from the Albanian government, we have not had the luck to talk with them and clarify the facts", he said.

The deputy director of "Rai 3" declared that the program will continue, while he claimed that Rama's statements were made to create tension over the free press.

"I don't take it as pressure. I think that Rama has said those things in the exclusive interest of Albania, to create tension on the free press of another country, that it would be difficult if he did.

Meanwhile, Rama, with all due respect, should know that if Report possesses information that is in the public interest of this country, but also of Albanians as a people, Rama can count on Report's contribution, in the sense that in a program that will continue to do the work own, it would be a nice gesture on Rama's part if he would agree to do the interview with us", emphasized Sigfrido Ranucci./ CNA
