Xhafaj: The Italian authorities accused my brother of being a trafficker  

Former minister Fatmir Xhafaj spoke on the show Opinion about the case of his brother Geron Xhafaj for the accusations as part of criminal trafficking.

According to Xhafaj, his brother was arrested in 2002 by the Italian authorities and spent a month in prison and then was deported by the Italian authorities who, Xhafaj says, told him to leave.

"In 2002, the brother was detained by the Italian authorities, accused of being part of the criminal traffic, stayed for a month, then was expelled by the Italians, who told him to leave. He participated with a lawyer in the judicial process. He was sentenced by the appeal to 7 years and 2 months, don't get me wrong. There was expulsion, the lawyer knew that he had been sentenced to prison, he did not receive the letter", Xhafaj said.

Next, Xhafaj spoke about the audio recording.

"The voice sample was taken in 3 parts by the criminal expert, it was not taken on the street. It's not his voice that's unintelligible it's the audio of the voice that's unintelligible. Because the audio-vidia that was delivered was for television effect, the original "pen" was not delivered", stated Xhafaj./ CNA
