Erdogan's visit to Tirana/ Police take measures, some road segments are

Within the framework of the visit to Albania, of the President of Turkey, Mr. Recep Tayyip Erdogan, the Local Directorate of the Tirana Police, with the support of the General Directorate of the State Police, has taken a series of detailed measures for the security of the visit of the President of Turkey Mr. Recep Tayyip Erdogan, starting from Rinas airport, escorted to Tirana in the places where the meetings will take place and escorted to Rinas, at the end of the visit.   

One of the measures of the detailed plan consists in ensuring the visit of the president of Turkey, Mr. Recep Tayyip Erdogan, who will hold meetings on October 10, 2024, in the city of Tirana. 

In this context, the State Police informs the citizens that there will be blockages of some road segments, as well as partial blockages of some other segments, depending on the meetings and activities that will take place during the visit, in Tirana.

Motorists should use the new Kashar - Rinas highway to travel towards the Rinas airport, as the old Kashar - Rinas axis from 10:00 to 11:30, as well as from 17:00 to at 18:00, on 10.10.2024, it will be blocked.

Other roads that will be blocked are:

From Rinas - Kafa e Kashari - Overpass to Casa Italia - underpass to the former "Shqiponja" square, Ring (Astir) - Sauk roundabout, Rruga e Elbasani.

"Dëshmorët e Kombit" boulevard, from the bridge to the former Dajt Hotel to "Mother Teresa" square, "Ismail Qemali" street, "Pope John Paul II" street, "Ibrahim Rugova" street, "Ukraina e Lire" street, "Zhan" boulevard D'Ark" and "George Bush Street".
