At the start of the new academic year, the Minister of Defense, Pirro Vëngu, greeted the students of the Armed Forces Academy.

The Minister of Education, Ogerta Manastirliu, the Minister of Defense of Kosovo, Ejup Macedonci and the Chief of the General Staff of the FA, Major General Arben Kingji, were part of this meeting.

Pirro Vëngu highlighted the policies followed by the Rama government in recent years to give the uniform of the military the appropriate dignity.

The Minister said that the aim is to turn the Armed Forces Academy into a command school, which offers a safe career and a challenging career with all the advantages and benefits that the uniform brings.

"The moment has come for the Armed Forces as a whole to see their responsibility beyond the duties of defense and the integrity and sovereignty of the country, which are primary and will continue to remain so. We, together with the generals of the Staff and the teaching staff of the AFA, will be invested so that the Armed Forces can play the role of a team, which prepares human resources that are of value to the nation, not only in the FA, but also as civilians. It is very important that we give you the opportunity in your career to also pursue a civilian career and have a versatile career opportunity, because the most developed NATO countries have created a very powerful dynamic between uniform, civilian work, returning to uniform according to the needs of the homeland at certain times", he emphasized.

In her speech, the Minister of Education, Ogerta Manastirliu, said that she sees with great pride that many young people from different cities of the country have chosen to become part of the Armed Forces.

"Homeland, honor, duty! It is a beautiful, inspiring motto of the Academy of the Armed Forces, Ministry of Defense, which has gathered us all together today at the start of the academic year of the Academy of the Armed Forces, wishing you many successes of the 80 students of the year saw more than 300 students of the entire study cycle at the Armed Forces Academy", said Manastirliu./ CNA
