The protester who was burned with a molotov bar speaks: My wounds are 2-3

CNA last evening published a video which showed one of the protesters who had suffered burns due to the molotov, pushed by a police officer. ( READ HERE )

He has indicated that his wounds from Molotov burns are of the 2nd and 3rd degree and that he must continue intensive treatment for 2 weeks.

Talk on the show

Emir: Yesterday when I came here we found a 2nd degree burn and today in many areas it has gone to 3. When I see that a Molotov was thrown towards the door of the town hall but somewhere it was blocked by tree branches and went to the feet of the police. Those with the preparations they have for these situations could get away from the molotov and could turn it off with an extinguisher that could do this job, and for convenience he kicked it and could even lift it high to burn us in the muzzles, but thank God the resin and it came directly to my feet where it exploded. From the knees down I have a lot of damage.

Meço: What did the doctors tell you?

Emiri: Now we will do our work, we are in progress, but I have to stay in intensive treatment for at least 2 weeks.

My case was completely clean when the cops hit him when he was at his feet and threw him at me. They could have let it explode but threw it in our direction. I was about 6m away from the policeman.

Meço: What were you protesting about yesterday Mr. Emiri?

Emir: For all things there are a thousand and one reasons to protest. This government allegedly makes a mistake, you protest, we block you and take you home. Yesterday it was passed to another stage. This is called molotov. It is not the first molotov that is used in protests in Albania or even in other very democratic countries, but it is a method of protesters.

The imprisonment of the leader of the opposition, or the machinations for the opening of the case of 'January 21', when on January 21 there was a violent protest like there was no other protest in Albania of that kind. We have a thousand more reasons to protest. I am a pensioner. There is no greater insult to intelligence when you tell Albanians that their pension will be increased by 20 lek per day, this is a shame and some things that no one can afford./ CNA
