VIDEO/ Sewage overflows the streets of Tirana, chaos with traffic

The Albanian capital, Tirana, has been affected by bad weather, where several roads have been blocked due to floods. In the meantime, the Lana river also burst its banks, flooding the surrounding streets and some businesses. 

Sewage has also covered the road. In the following video, near the former Exhibition, it seems that the vehicles have stopped due to the flooding of sewage on the road.

The Mayor of Tirana, Erion Veliaj, has appealed to the citizens to minimize their movements after the rain storm, which has swept the country in the last few hours. Through a post on social networks, Veliaj says that the Municipality's teams are on the ground for any emergency.

He also calls for citizens to call 112./ CNA for any emergency
