VIDEO-Shocking scene from Velipoja, the beach is covered in garbage

Shocking images of the massive pollution of Velipoja beach have circulated on social networks.

Florjan Binaj, who was one of the candidates aiming for the Municipality of Tirana, shared a view of Velipoja beach filled with trash.

The beach that is advertised to tourists during the summer season has this view in November 2025.

The authorities have been made aware of this problem and are analyzing the situation for a solution. This pollution is not only harmful to the environment, but also to human health.

Binaj wrote alongside the video that if policies on plastic consumption, plastic recycling, and removal do not change, in a few years the beach that has as much trash as it does today will cost more./ CNA
