The leader of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha, has left SPAK and given his speech to the media.

Berisha was questioned about "January 21", where he said that today's process was a normal process.

Regarding the shootings on January 21, Berisha said that there was no internal order to shoot.

The DP leader said that the GHarda and armed guards have a law under which they have the right to shoot if they are shot at.

 

 

"I know Rama organized the most violent protest for the lust of his power. International authorities have declared and re-declared that on January 21, the Socialist Party had an agenda of violence. This declaration has become the reason for me not to be called to be questioned about a dramatic event that cost the lives of 4 demonstrators. It was a normal process.

Calling a person to testify in this institution is the most normal procedure. I was surrounded, my windows were stoned. I had come out of an election that had met the international standards of the OSCE/ODIHR for free elections. The order to shoot was not given from inside. The Guard soldiers fired from the Guard posts. There is a law that authorizes the guard to shoot. No matter how much you twist and turn it, the Guard and every armed guard operates by law. If they were to shoot, they should avoid danger. No order was given to shoot ,” Berisha declared.
