The bad weather that has affected several regions of the country has also created some problems in the Lezha Region, where over the past 24 hours it has been hit by moderate to high intensity rainfall, accompanied by strong winds.

The authorities inform that in the Kurbin Municipality, the work has been divided into two groups, which will operate in the Mamurras Unit by cleaning the canals with municipal equipment and in Shpërdhet on the Drojë River embankment, as well as arranging and removing remaining inert materials and alluvium.

The other group, together with the Armed Forces vehicle, arrived in the morning hours, a group of 4 people with two vehicles, a chain excavator and a heavy tonnage truck with a tow truck, will seek to make possible the arrangement of the road on the Skuraj-Vinjollë-Gallatë axis, as well as the filling at the foot of the bridge damaged by the flows of the Skuraj River yesterday. The level of the Drojë River has suffered a slight decrease compared to yesterday.

During the night, a feeder suffered a defect, the Gjorm feeder, which is being worked on and will be put into operation very soon, while the problem remains the damage to the line that supplies the villages of Skuraj, Gallatë and Vinjollë, due to the damage to the line that extends along the Vinjollë River. A group of 7 AF personnel with a boat have also been deployed to the Mamurras unit to intervene in cases of need for evacuation.

Teaching continues normally in all schools. Due to damage to a road segment, it is impossible for a group of students from the village of Shpërdhet, Mamurras unit, to attend, but here too, teaching is taking place normally.

The Civil Protection structures of the Lezha municipality report that there was water in the yard of the "Mother Teresa" school, and municipal structures worked until late at night and now in the morning. With municipal tools and forces, work will continue to clean the roads, manholes, etc.

Currently, classes are continuing normally in all schools. Evacuated families have been accommodated in the Kolin Gjoka school dormitory, where the Lezha branch of the Red Cross will provide them with food aid in the form of a basket.

The Civil Protection structures of the Mirdita municipality report that the Rreshen-Bukmirë road axis, Rreshen Administrative Unit, remains problematic, where there is the presence of stones on the road and erosion in the road base. There is damage on the axes of rural roads after the emergence of mountain streams has caused erosion./CNA
